SLPM Design Highlights

The SLPM swivel pad is the workhorse of machinery leveling. The swivel function allows the pad to self-align on slightly uneven surfaces while maintaining full clamping load through the threaded stud. Heat-treated steel construction ensures long service life under sustained loading.

Internal Thread

Heat-treated steel female-threaded swivel pads. Black oxide finish. M6 to M20 internal threads. Load capacity 10 kN to 45 kN. For studs bolted into machinery feet.

SLPF Design Notes

The internal thread design (female) is used when the machine frame has a tapped hole or stud already installed. The swivel pad screws directly onto the stud, providing flexible leveling without altering the existing machine geometry.

Swivel pads with NBR rubber anti-skid pad (Shore Hardness 75). Steel & SS 304 variants. Prevents machinery creep under vibration or load shifts. External (SLPM-RP) and internal (SLPF-RP) threads.

Anti-Skid Pad Features

The NBR rubber anti-skid pad bonded to the base provides friction that locks the machinery in position. Even if the machinery experiences side-loading or vibration, the rubber grip prevents creeping across the floor. Essential for precision equipment on smooth concrete.

Light & medium-duty fixed (non-swivel) leveling pads. No pivot — rigid attachment. White zinc or electro-polished finish. Available with or without anti-skid rubber. Load capacity 2.90 kN.

Non-Swivel Design Notes

Fixed leveling pads are used where the floor is already level or where a rigid, non-pivoting connection is required. No swivel means simpler geometry, lower cost, and guaranteed rigidity. Ideal for lightweight equipment or where floor is already prepared.

Leveling Pad Selection Guide

Load Capacity

Choose based on machine weight divided by number of pads. For example, 500 kg machine on 4 pads = 125 kg per pad (1.23 kN). Add 20% safety margin. SLPM-660 rated to 10 kN is ideal.

Swivel vs. Fixed

Uneven floor → use SLPM/SLPF swivel. Level floor → SLPM-SM non-swivel is cheaper. High vibration → always choose swivel for self-leveling under dynamic load.

Thread Direction

External (SLPM) threads onto studs on machine feet. Internal (SLPF) screws onto existing protruding studs. Check your machinery design; internal is more common for retrofits.

Anti-Skid Rubber (RP variant)

Smooth concrete floors → anti-skid mandatory to prevent machinery creep. Textured/rough floors → swivel alone may suffice. Vibratory equipment → always anti-skid.

Material & Finish

Standard industrial: steel with black ED coating. Wet/food/pharma: SS 304 electro-polished. Non-conductive required: technopolymer or POM. Cleanroom ESD: SS 304 with GRD stud option.

Base Diameter

Larger base = better floor contact & stability. TPLP-60 (compact), TPLP-80 (medium), TPLP-100 (large footprint). Match floor quality; rough floors benefit from larger diameter.

Chemical Compatibility

Laboratory solvents or oil-rich environment → POM-base (LPF) for inertness. Food/cleanroom → SS 304 with technopolymer (TPLP-SS). Standard factory → steel is fine.

Height Adjustment

Leveling pads are not jacks. For precision leveling, use spirit level & thread all pads equally. Unequal height differences must be pre-shimmed with precision shims (not leveling pads).
